Cait and Stefania and Lea went to the Apprenticeships in Science & Engineering (AES) Saturday Academy Midsummer Conference in Corvallis, OR! They did a hands-on workshop, “Mental Time Travel” on memory and the brain.

Oliver is a student at South Eugene High School. He is currently interested in learning more about neuroscience and memories in the brain, and hopes to go into a science or technology related field. |
Ray, Meghan, and Takako received the Psychology Department Alice Thompson Scholarship. This scholarship supports undergraduate psychology majors whose primary interests include cognition, brain physiology, or other physical science applications in the field of psychology.

Meghan Buchanan
Meghan is a first-year student at University of Oregon majoring in psychology and minoring in music studies. Her main interests are neuroanatomy as it relates to disorders and music’s affect on the brain. She plans to travel and attend graduate school after attaining her bachelor’s degree.
Celina Maldonado
Celina is majoring in psychology and linguistics with a minor in chemistry. Her primary interest is neuroscience. She’s still deciding between going to medical school or graduate school after she graduates.
Ray Jackson
Ray is a psychology major with an emphasis in cognitive neuroscience. Her main interests are attention and memory, including Alzheimers and ADHD research. In her free time, Ray is a professional juggler and circus artist.
Riley Christensen
Riley is a psychology major at the University of Oregon and is in his junior year. He is particularly interested in cognitive neuroscience and intends on attending graduate school in Sweden after getting his degree next spring.
